Seaweed-y

Happpppppppy Monday!!

T.T

Why does the weekend never seem long enough?

At least I can look at these pretty nails while I'm at work and imagine myself at the beach instead ;)

I just got a new stamper on Friday, the creative stamper! And let me tell you it's ahhhhh-mazing <3 Along with that the bunches of mini stamping polished I ordered from Mundo De Unas came in too! Time to play, and play is just what I did!

I started off with a base of Color Club Kismet. While my base was drying I reverse stamped using Born Pretty Store plate BP-L017 with Mundo De Unas Green and filled it in with Maybelline Color Show Green With Envy. I top coated it and let it dry and then carefully peeled it off of my stamper and placed it on my nails. I cleaned up the excess and applied a layer of Seche Vite to finish it off.

I ended up liking this design so much more then I thought I would. I don't reverse stamp very often, this is actually my second time doing it so I'll admit that I still need some practice but man, these looked pretty bad ass from far away ;)

What do you guys think?

Enjoy your Monday! ;)

Patriotic Dotticure

July 4th is quickly approaching and you know that that means, red, white, and blue nails!!! Whoop whoop I love me a good patriotic manicure.

And anyone can create this one!

I started off with a base of OPI Bubble Bath. Then I used LOOK Nail Color Rockets Red Glare, Broad Stripes Bright Stars, and Oh Say Can You See, OPI This Gown Needs A Crown, and a dotting tool to create the dotticure. I sealed it all in with a layer of Seche Vite and that was it!

This was so super easy to create and I'm absolutely in love with the final results! This is a great design to do if you're short on time because it took me about 20 minutes from start to finish. And come on, they're SO COOL!

What do you guys think?

Thanks loves :)

Don't Go Raining On My Minty Parade

Hey guys!

So,

I can't bring myself to take Cirque Julep off of my nails O.O For real though I've been wearing it for 3 days already. But I needed to move on with my polish, the struggles of being a nail blogger are totally REAL ;) So I decided why not just do a little art-ing over top?

I love this "rainy day" look, it's so fun and super cute!

I started with a base of Cirque Colors Julep. When it was dry I used my raindrop vinyls from Snail Vinyls and created a gradient using Cirque Julep and China Glaze Turned Up Turquoise over it. When I was happy with my gradient I peeled off the vinyls and finished it off with a generous layer of Seche Vite. And that was it!

I love that this look is quite subtle but it has just enough oomph to be super stunning, especially out in the sunshine ;)

What do you guys think? What polishes are you loving this summer?

Thanks loves :)

Cirque Colors Julep

You guys ready for another stunner?

I'm  going to let you all in on a little secret first, this is my very FIRST Cirque polish. Yep, you read that right, before I picked this baby up I didn't own a single Cirque. Why? I don't have the slightest clue. Chalk it up to being cheap... not that they're expensive but I've had to keep myself on a tight budget for a while. But there was no way I was going to miss out on the beauty that is Cirque Julep. Mint has been a favorite color of mine for the summertime, it's so bright, cool and fun to wear. And OBVIOUSLY you know I love anything holographic ;) So what happens when the two meet and make a baby? Cirque Julep is born <3

Cirque Julep is a gorgeous bright mint holographic polish with what seems to be the slightest of gold shimmers. So minty and SO SPARKLY x.x The formula was really great, super smooth. I can't compare it to any other Cirques because well, I don't have any but so far I'm loving their formula. The only thing that really stuck out to me though was the smell... it smelled quite different from any other polish I own, I can't put a finger on what it is but it's a tad stronger then most polishes. It's so beautiful though so I didn't mind ;) Swatches below are two easy coats with top coat.

Cirque Julep is part of a collaboration with Nordstrom and it's limited edition so hurry up and grab yours before they're gone! I mean come on, who wouldn't want this pretty in their lives ;)

What do you guys think? Will you be grabbing Cirque Julep?

Thanks loves :)

Holographic neon tribal

Hi guys!

I can't handle this much awesomness! Holo, neon, glitter, tribal, pink.... WHAT DO I DO?!

This is the manicure of all manicures that I've created, I've never had so many things that I love in one single design. I DIE!

Whoops, I went all crazy nail polish lady on you guys for a minute there ;)

But for real doe, this design is killer!

I started off with a base of Orly Mirrorball (shield your eyes from the beauty T.T) When Mirrorball was dry I applied some tribal nail vinyls from Snail Vinyls and painted over them with China Glaze Pool Party. I peeled off the vinyls and sealed everything in with Seche Vite to finish it off!

These nails are so incredibly simple but crowd stopping! If they don't notice the blindingly bright neon they'll definitely notice that rainbow sparkle!

What do you guys think? Do you think I'm crazy yet? Or just crazy enough?

Talk to you next time loves :)

Orly Mirrorball

Yo are we for real right now?

Like really, really real? Anyone younger then 16 use your ear muffs er..... eye muffs for a minute.

---------------------

THIS SHIT IS FUCKING THE SHIT. Peace, I'm dead X.X

---------------------

Okay you can take your eye muffs off now I'll try to behave ;)

So I've finally jumped on the Orly Mirrorball train and let me just tell you guys, if you're here and reading this and don't have one of your own Orly Mirrorballs.... GO GET ONE.

Orly Mirrorball is a stunning silver holographic polish with small silver holographic glitters that combine into the sweetest of melodies. For being a mainstream brand I am extremely impressed with this polish, most mainstream companies don't do super holographic / glitters like this, Orly you've really outdone yourself with this one. With a formula as smooth as butter and full opacity in just two simple coats, this is one for the books I'm telling you.... whatever that means. My swatches below are two easy as pie coats with top coat, I'm warning you now though, proceed at your own risk, I am not responsible for empty wallets after you see these photos ;)

Can you just look at it? Can you even stand it? GAWD I can't even. I can't get over this color honestly and the amazing formula is just the icing on the cake.

Mirrorball is notoriously difficult to find, it's almost always sold out at Sally's Beauty Supply but if you're lucky, just lucky enough, you'll find one. And you better cherish it like it's your long lost child ;)

What do you think guys? Is it beautiful?!

Neon Mini Blobbicure

MOAR NEON PLZ.

Oh god one of my favorite parts of summer is neon nail polish. I mean lezbihonest I wear neon all year long because YOLO. Anyways this neon mini blobbicure is something I've been wanting to try for a while and I'm so happy I did. Even though it didn't come out exactly how I envisioned it, it's still wicked awesome! ;)

I started off with a base of Essie Blanc. Then I create the mini blobbicure on my middle and ring nails with China Glaze Pool Party, China Glaze Orange Knockout, and China Glaze Daisy Know My Name?. On my pointer I added a coat of China Glaze Pool Party and on my pinky I added a coat of China Glaze Orange Knockout. I sealed the whole thing in with some Seche Vite to finish off this design.

So the blobs didn't spread out as much as I wanted them too making this look more like a dotticure then a blobbicure but hey, that's okay they remind me of clown nails and that makes me happier then any failed attempt ;)

What do you guys think? What's your favorite neon nail design?

Thanks loves :)

Pastel Circular Dotted Nails

Time to change it up!

I've been doing a lot of neon stuff lately I think it's time to switch it up with some pastels <3

Pastels are generally a "springtime" shade but eff the rules! We can wear whatever polish in whatever shade whenever we want! Who's with me?!?

Anyways ;) I thought I'd go for a fun a simple look with this cute little dotted design. Check it out!

I started off with a different base on each nail: Lime Crime Parfait Day (pink), Crema De Limon (yellow), Lavendairy (purple), and Azature Light Blue Diamond (blue). I used a small dotting tool and all of these colors plus Essie Blanc for the dots and alternated the colors with each nail. To finish it off I sealed them all in with a layer of Seche Vite.

This look is so soft and sweet! It's almost refreshing after all of the neons and bright saturated colors. I don't normally do a different color on each nail but I'm learning to expand my horizons and I'm loving it! The possibilities are endless ;)

What do you guys think?

Thanks loves! :)

Cow Patterned Blobbicure

Hi guys!

I've had this idea in my head ever since I started seeing blobbicures pop up in the nail community. I always thought those blobs look an awful lot like cow print and man, I was right! I am in LOVE!

I started with a base of LOOK Nail Color Broad Stripes Bright Stars on my middle and ring nails. Then I applied another thick layer of BSBS and blobbed a few spots of Wet n Wild Black Creme and let them spread out in the polish. On my index and pink nails I started with a base of Wet n Wild Black Creme and painted some small pink hearts with acrylic paints. I sealed all of my nails in with some Seche Vite and that was it!

I am literally obsessed with this! I can't believe how simple this was to create and how striking it is. So fun!

What do you guys think?

Thanks loves :)

Cool Toned Mosaic

Hi guys!

I haven't done too many mosaic designs, I don't know, the design itself just doesn't click with me for some reason. But I really wanted to give it another try and while this isn't my favorite design ever I'm still really proud of it!

I started with a base of NYC Sidewalkers on my ring, China Glaze Too Yacht To Handle on my pinky and a blank slate on my middle and ring. I added two dots of China Glaze Too Yacht To Handle on my index and one dot of NYC Sidewalkers on my pinky. I used some black acrylic paint to paint on the base for my mosaic design on my middle and ring nails. Then I used China Glaze Too Yacht To Handle, NYC Sidewalkers, and Wet n Wild Black Creme. I sealed everything in with some Seche Vite to finish off the design.

I'm really loving this black, gray, and mint color combination, so cool.... literally ;) I'm really happy with how this design came out, I think I'll definitely give mosaic nails a go again.

What do you guys think?

Thanks loves :)

Geometric Color Blocking

Color Blocking. Is. AMAZING!

I love this technique. It's so simple but you can create such amazing designs with it. Versatility at it's best.

I decided to take the simpler route this time, wanna see?

I started out with a base of Essie Blanc. When that was dry I painted half of each nail Essie Boom Boom Room and then applied a layer of Seche Vite to speed up the drying process. Once my nails were fully dry I tape off each nail leaving a long triangle in the center. I painted over it with OPI This Gown Needs A Crown and immediately peeled off the tape. To finish it off I added a layer of NYC Matte Me Crazy to give this design a fun matte look.

I love how simple this look is but SO many people noticed them! Sometimes simpler is better right?

What do you guys think?

Thanks loves! :)

Neon Glitter Gradient

How long has it been since I posted a gradient on this little blog?

Wayne too long! I adore gradients so much I have no idea why I don't do them more often! I was feeling summery and what's more summery then neon? So this neon glitter gradient was BORN!

I started off with a base of Essie Blanc. When it dried I created the gradient using China Glaze DJ Blue My Mind and China Glaze PLUR-ple. Then I topped it off with China Glaze Can I Get An Untz Untz and finally sealed everything in with a layer of Seche Vite to finish off this design.

Mmmmmm neon gradient with neon glitter. SO MUCH NEON! So much awesomeness! I really need to do more gradients, I'm making it a goal to do at least once a month... what a sad little goal! Hopefully there will be more then that ;)

What do you guys think?

Thanks loves :)

Fan Brushed

I don't know why I don't use the fan brush technique more often. It's so easy and the final results are always too freaking cool!

I decided to try out the LOOK Nail Color polished for nail art, I'd like to see how they marble but I had this idea in my head first and man I'm so glad I gave it a shot because I'm in LOVE!

I started with a base of LOOK Nail Color Broad Stripes Bright Stars. When it was dry I used the fan brush technique with LOOK Nail Color Rocket's Red Glare and Oh Say Can You See. And because I thought it needed just a little extra something, I added a ruffian of dots with OPI This Gown Needs A Crown. I sealed everything in with a layer of Seche Vite and that was it!

This look is so fun and I absolutely love this color combination! I great way to wear red, white, and blue without looking like it's 4th of July every day, not that that's ever a bad thing ;)

What do you guys think?

Thanks loves! :)
