Jewel Toned Stained Glass

Jewel toned nail polish... YUM.

There's something so satisfying when jewel tone nail polishes come together. They compliment each other so well and the end result is so deep and gorgeous.

I've been wanting to try making decals using my stamping plates and I thought this stained glass idea would be a great idea to try. Besides taking FOREVER, I really enjoyed the process and I am in love with the outcome! Want to see what I came up with?

I started by painting my nails with Enchanted Polish June 2014... actually it was an old mani, but it still works ;) Then I used Bundle Monster plate BM-208 and WetnWild Black Creme to pick up the image. While it was still on my stamper I filled in some holes using Color Club Kismet, The Little LacquerBean Blue Ribbon Baby, LynB Designs Teal The Cows Come Home, and LynB Designs Nightmare Revisited. When I finished filling in the holes I took my Sech Vite and painted over the entire design. I let that dry completely and then took some tweezers and loosened up the edge of the image. When the edge was loose I used my tweezers again to grab it and slowly peel it off of my stamper. I put a coat of Seche Vite on my nails and laid the decal over top. I then got rid of the excess with my cuticle clippers and cleaned it up with a brush dipped in acetone. Finally I finished it off with one more layer of Seche Vite

So. In. Love. It was a bit more difficult then I anticipated to do, as you can see by my messy lines in my macro ;) But that was my first nail and the rest got progressively better I swear! The hassle was definitely worth it in the end though because I mean just look at it! Look at all those jewel toned polishes!!

I know I'll be revisiting this technique again really soon, is there anything that you guys want me to do?

OH! And I've decided to start filming tutorials again! I love filming them for you guys but life got a little bit crazy and I just didn't have the time. Thankfully things seem to be settling down finally so I can start filming again and I started with this design! Look for a tutorial sometime today on my Instagram account <- click the link to be taken there.

Thanks loves :)

Twinsie Tuesday: Polish Received In A Swap

It's Tuesday so you know what that means... Twinsie Tuesday!

I hope you are all having a great week. I'm battling an enormous cold sore which seems to be eating my entire face... no really my lip is the size of a small house -_- And of course it had to come as I'm finally starting my new job boo! But what can you do but complain right? Anyone have any good remedies for a cold sore? None of my methods seem to be working for this one! Let me know in the comments if you know anything!

But enough of my whining, let's get back to the real reason you guys are here: nails! The theme for today's Twinsie Tuesday is A Polish Received In A Swap. Now I have to confess guys, I've never swapped polish with anyone! T.T But there is a lovely and wonderful woman named Maggy who heard that I was looking for Enchanted Polish June 2014(my birthday month!) I've known Maggy for a long time, she was one of my very first follower way back when I started this blog and when she heard I was looking for it she sent it to me for free! I couldn't believe it! The kindness that Maggy has shown me is just incredible and I thought I would honor that by showing off the polish that she gifted to me, Enchanted Polish June 2014.

June 2014 is a lovely purple/mauve/pink duo chrome shade with a gorgeous holographic finish. Just stunning. The formula is fantastic, smooth and buttery and completely opaque in two thin coats. Swatches below are two coats with top coat. Take a look at this pretty!

Enchanted Polish June 2014 is everything that I thought it would be and more! It's very special to me because of where it came from and I'm glad I got to share it with you guys! I hope this counts for Twinsie Tuesday this week ;)

And don't forget to check out what everyone else posted today, I know I'm excited to see all the pretty polishes!

Ruffian with a neon twist

Haaaaaaaaaaappy Monday!

Another week is beginning and I couldn't be more excited! I'm finally officially starting my new job and it feels like I've been waiting for this forever! So this calls for some bright and fun nails! I haven't done a ruffian design in a while so I think it's high time to change that.

I started with a base of Lime Crime Once In A Blue Mousse and when it dried I created the ruffian using Color Club Over the Moon. Then I took a small nail art brush and used it to outline the ruffian using China Glaze Pool Party. To finish it off I sealed it all in with some Seche Vite

I so loved these nails! The holo and neon and pastel come together to make the yummiest combination. Don't you think?

What about you guys, what's your favorite ruffian color combination?

Thanks for stopping by! Talk to you tomorrow!

Double Stamp Saturday

Happy Saturday!

I hope your weekend is going well, we're expecting some more snow and ice in a short while. Yayyyyyyy -_- *insert sarcastic eye roll* But what are you going to do? I'll tell you what you do, paint your nails DUH!!! ;)

I wanted to play with Bundle Monster's Secret Garden plate set a little more and I've never really done a double stamped mani before so I figured why not give it a shot! Let's see what you guys think.

I started with a base of Color Club Eternal Beauty. When it dried I used Lime Crime Once In A Blue Mousse, Lime Crime Lavendairy, and Bundle Monster plate BM-719 to stamp over each nail. Finally I sealed it all in with some Seche Vite

It came out a bit more subtle then I wanted but I absolutely love the abstract look it gives. The pastel contrasts with the holo so well in the sunlight too, such a fun look!

I really enjoyed trying out this double stamping manicure, I'll definitely have some more to share with you guys soon!

What do you think?

Find A Little Inspiration

Winter sucks.

There's really no way around it, it's cold, there's germs and it's light out for like an hour a day. Who gets any enjoyment out of that?!

I'm going to get real for a minute, hold on to your hats folks ;) I have seasonal depression. For those of you that don't know me I also have extreme anxiety which, surprisingly enough I've finally got under control with the help from my doctor. But as far as the seasonal depression goes, winter can get real hard on this girl. I find myself looking for ways to keep the blues away and one of my favorite things to do is look up inspirational quotes. Laugh all you want but I absolutely love them, they can brighten my day without fail.

And that's why I love this plate from Bundle Monster's new Secret Garden set so much. It's filled with inspiring and warm words. Inspire, life, love, beauty and magic are just a few of the words you can find on this plate it's so beautiful! I created this look below and absolutely fell in love. Let's see if you guys feel the same.

I started off with a base of China Glaze Too Yacht To Handle. When it dried I stamped over each nail first with Bundle Monster plate BM-703 and PMTG White Undies and then again with Bundle Monster plate BM-705 and WetnWild Black Creme. I sealed everything in with some Seche Vite to finish it off.

I really really loved this design and I'm always looking for new ways to stay inspired and keep my head up in these harsh winter months. What do you guys do to keep the winter blues away?

I hope you liked this design, let me know in the comments what you think!

Thanks loves :)

Twinsie Tuesday: Match Your Nails to Your Purse

UGH.

I'm late for Twinsie Tuesday.... again -_- I was so hoping that I would be on time today but things got in the way of me making this post up yesterday and I had to work today so I'm writing it up now at 530pm.... sigh. I'm sorry guys but hey, at least I got it up in the same day! LOL

The theme for today's post is match your nails to your purse. I got super excited about this post because I love my purse and then super sad because I realize that I don't have a polish that matches my purse. Boooooooooo! But I matched it up at close as I could so I hope you guys like it!

I started off with a base of Sally Hansen Presto Pink. When it was dry I took a small nail art brush and OPI This Gown Needs A Crown and painted on my small curved 'C' shapes. I sealed it all in with some Seche Vite and that was it!

I didn't think that I would like these nails because I wasn't a huge fan of this pink polish but I was actually surprised to find that I really enjoyed wearing these. I love the way the silver curves and snakes it's way through the pink, it's very visually aesthetic to me. But I'm probably base ;) Let me know what you guys think in the comments!

And don't forget to check out everyone else's purse matching nails, I know I can't wait to see what everyone has done!

Snow, snow EVERYWHERE

Okay, does anyone know how many more days until spring?!?!?

This snow is getting a little bit ridiculous. Here in Massachusetts I think we have at least 4.5 feet of snow or more outside AND there's more coming tonight! I can't even deal. If you've been around this blog for a while you'll know that I'm absolutely not a winter person, but I do like the snow.... or so I thought! It's getting old now -_- LOL

But, when life gives you snow, make snow nail art!!! ;)

I started off this design with a base of Color Club Eternal Beauty, one of my absolute favorite polishes. When it dried I used Bundle Monster plate BM-407 and stamped over each nail with PMTG White Undies. Finally I sealed everything in with Seche Vite

While I may be over the snow outside, I'm not quite over it on my nails! I absolutely loved this design, it was interesting and the holographic sparked was just AMAZING! I don't think I will ever get tired of holographic polishes ;)

What do you think guys? Do you love the snow or not?

Thanks loves :)

A subtle garden

Happy Valentine's Day! I don't have a valentines-esque manicure today but I do have this super fun subtle garden design!

Green is so not my color. It's not that I don't like it, I just never reach for it, I always pick blues, purples, and pinks instead. But when I do finally grab a green polish I love the way it looks! I've created a fun a subtle garden look using Bundle Monster's Secret Garden Nail Stamping Plates and it's using not one, but three green polishes! ;)

I started with a base of China Glaze Def Defying and when it was dry I double stamped the leaf image on Bundle Monster plate BM-703 using Color Club Kismet and China Glaze Con-Fused?. Then I grabbed plate BM-710 and stamped the cute little daisy type flowers using Color Club Eternal Beauty. Finally I sealed everything in with Seche Vite.

At first I wanted a more visible design, but as I kept stamping I started falling more and more in love with this look. It's subtle but it lets just enough holographic sparkle peek through and in the sun it's just stunning.

What do you guys think? Have you bought the Bundle Monster Secret Garden Nail Stamping Plates yet? What's your favorite image so far?

Thanks loves :)

Bundle Monster Secret Garden 2015 Nail Stamping Plates REVIEW

Guys! Can I just tell you how excited I am to share this post with all of you? You know my love of stamping is strong and I almost always use my collection of Bundle Monster plates. Well guess what?! They've just released a brand new collection! Bundle Monster's Secret Garden Nail Stamping Plates are something totally new for them because they are buffet style! Each plate has full images on them, oversized so you can pick and choose what you want to put on your nails. I know there are some other companies that do this like MoYou but this is something that Bundle Monster has never done and frankly I really think they did an awesome job. And I've got the entire set to show you guys today so get ready.

WARNING! I've got pictures of each image plate so this is a picture heavy post. And you may be running to the Bundle Monster website to immediately order this plate set when you finish ;)

Loving the key image on this plate. Psst I've used it in a manicure below ;)

The strawberry image would make such a fun summer manicure! And who doesn't think that little deer is ADORABLE!

The definition of 'Secret Garden' doesn't that door look like it could transport you to a magical place?!

That top left image is so interesting! I think that would look awesome on the nails.

This plate is so fun! Look at that Penny-Farthing (bicycle in the center)! I've got so many ideas for that one.

Now this is my kind of plate, I absolutely love word plates! There's so many things you can do with them, and what lovely words on this one.

This one feels really celebratory to me, I'm not sure why, maybe it's the stars resembling fireworks to me. Nonetheless I really love the lily pad images.

Super pretty, this one reminds me of fall, I think it's the kite and the leaves and the wind that I'm imagining ;)

That peacock, just love!

Look at the cute little hearts hidden in the tree trunk!

So many different flower images on this one, I love the variety! And I so want to use that spring image asap.

Tiki face! So cute, you can totally make a gorgeous Hawaiian manicure with this plate.

Okay this lady's face.... I don't know about that one ;) Just kidding I'm determined to find a use for her. I really like these plates with intense images, you can create so many different looks.

Stop this pineapple image is SO FREAKING CUTE. I have to do something with it like as soon as I can.... like now.

More flowers, the variety of flowers on these plates is crazy awesome, so many different floral looks are coming to mind.

Okay I need help, what is that image at the bottom? Is it like a wood grain? Does it say something? So confused and intrigued at the same time! If you know what it is let me know in the comments!

Loving the cherry blossom-esque image at the bottom, and the bird with the design inside of it?! Crazy cool!

Big flowers! And if I can shrink that face down I'm totally using it!

The butterflies on this plate are so pretty and intricate. And curly swirly vines are always the prettiest.

This guitar is so pretty! I'm not sure how I'm going to get it on my nails quite yet though. But I've already used the swirly designs and absolutely loved them.

Such a cool design. That bird is so interesting.

Vines. Vines EVERYWHERE! I can see so many cool designs in this one.

Look at the cute squirrel! I really love how they put images inside of other images. And the apple tree is awesome.

Kitties, kitties, kitties, kitties (^-.-^) That kind of looks like a cat right? Love the leaves at the top too.

I almost missed the bunnies on this plate when I was first looking at it! Super cute and that chair is so fun.

These koi fish are just beautiful. I definitely need to use this plate soon!

I don't know about you guys but I'm absolutely loving this new set. There's so many different images to use, the possibilities are literally endless! I know I'm going to be using these plates A LOT in the coming days but I did create this look below as soon as I got them because I'm just so obsessed with the key image on the first plate.

I used plates BM-701 and BM-706 in the design below. I didn't top coat it right away because I actually liked it without, but my OCD won in the end and I top coated ;) Both ways are show below. OH and don't mind the nubs, I broke a nail on Saturday and I think a cried a little (a lot) filing them down, not that they were all that long but I had just gotten them to a length that I liked! HMPH! Oh well ;)

So what do you think guys? Do you have a favorite plate? I don't even think I could pick one! Let me know in the comments :)
